Here is some good news today! According to The Daily Mail,
Scientists at Cornell University are saying that injecting white blood cells with a special protein transforms them into “super natural killer cells” that can wipe out cancer. Experts say the breakthrough could stop the disease by preventing it from spreading. In the study, the biomedical engineers killed the cancerous tumor within days by injecting liposomes armed wth TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis-inducing ligand). Researchers said, “We want to see lymph node metastasis become a thing of the past.”
That’s amazing! A great step toward stopping one of the top diseases that’s killing people.
