Empire can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to lawsuits.

According to The Grio,

The “real-life Cookie Lyon” has lawyered up and filed a new lawsuit against the Fox hit TV show demanding $300 million. Sophia Eggleston has hired a lawyer and filed new court papers, claiming that the producers of Empire based Taraji P. Henson’s role on the show on her 2009 autobiography, The Hidden Hand. Sophia’s attorney, Tom Heed, is saying that the former Detroit drug-kingpin wants co-creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, along with 21st Century Fox to pay her “tens of millions of dollars.”

According to the lawsuit, Sophia was surprised when Empire aired and she also noticed many similarities to her actual life.

I bet there are fifty leven Cookie Lyon stories out there. SMH
