According to Us Weekly,

Beyoncé is currently in a legal dispute with an event planner over the trademark for Blue Ivy‘s name. Bey filed a trademark back in 2012 so that she could launch products and a clothing line in her daughter’s name. However, Beyoncé was unable to renew the trademark earlier this year thanks to an event planning company owned by a woman named Veronica Morales.

According to the site,

“Morales is asking the board for leave to take limited early discovery in order to depose the former vice president of Beyoncé’s BGK Trademark Holdings, Jonathan Schwartz.”

Morales wants her request to be done quickly because Schwartz was recently convicted of wire fraud and falsifying tax records and was sentenced to 72 months in prison. Bey’s legal team, on the other hand, filed a motion earlier this week asking the board to deny the motion for leave for early discovery. Bey’s lawyers have also accused Morales of using Blue Ivy’s name to gain profit.

That last sentence is the bottom line.  Vultures.
