What can you find behind the scenes of a comedy tour? The Comedy Get Down on BET can tell you that exactly! Premiering on October 12, 2017, the show features DL Hughley, George Lopez, Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin and the late Charlie Murphy.
The show is a scripted comedy series of what happens behind the scenes of a comedy tour.
“Somebody came out and saw us in Los Angeles and said it was a show,” explained DL Hughley. He continued, “It was more of an opportunity for us to be who we are.”
“It took so long that one of us ain’t here no more. It wrapped a year ago, ” Hughley says about the show. He’s also referring to Comedian Charlie Murphy who died earlier this year. “It’s very said. it is. It’s tough.”
When asked if he liked Comedy Kings or the Comedy Get Down Hughley said the Get Down. “I’m having more fun now because it just nor about proving anything because everyone is more established.”
