How would you react if you finally met Oprah? In Tiffany Haddish‘s case, you completely break down in tears of joy. The Girls Trip actress and comedienne was on Ellen on Thursday discussed her first time meeting Lady O back when she was an extra on Their Eyes Were Watching God. She even wrote Oprah a letter, which Oprah never responded to.
In true Oprah fashion, Ellen asked, “Why don’t we just ask Oprah why she never wrote back? Oprah, why did you not write back?”
And like magic, Oprah appeared, much to the show of Tiffany herself. Overcome with emotion, Haddish cried even more when Oprah told her that she was proud of her. As far as the letter? Oprah lost it! But having Oprah tell you that she’s proud of you in person has to be a thousand times sweeter. Watch the full video below.
