The nonprofit organization wants to ensure that pets remain in their homes, instead of surrendered to a local shelter, because someone affected by the shutdown may not have the means to afford pet food or supplies. All food and supplies will be free. Their goal is to provide a 30-day supply of food for each pet. You must complete a short form if need of assistance.
