Via HOUSTON (KTRK):
The METRO board of directors meets today and big changes are in store.
The agency has been embattled in a document shredding scandal for weeks and today Houston Mayor Annise Parker is expected to announce her 5 new appointments to the board.
As we’ve been telling you now for quite some time, METRO has been the subject of a criminal investigation after allegations surfaced that public records were destroyed by METRO employees.
The plot only thickens. Just this week, METRO Board Chairman David Wolff asked a consultant to investigate allegations that Frank Wilson, the agency’s chief executive, misused public funds because of an inappropriate relationship with his chief of staff.
