Walgreens Consolidates Operations
Walgreens is closing its Houston Distribution Center, resulting in the layoff of 159 employees starting around June 1. The company plans to streamline service and deliveries from its Waxahachie Distribution Center. Walgreens expressed gratitude to the Houston team for their contributions and believes that consolidating operations will improve customer service and reduce workload for store teams.
