At least two women have been robbed or attacked for their purses on the southeast side of Houston.

Thursday morning, police reported that a woman was in a Wal-Mart parking lot when a man jumped out of a car and went for her purse. Here’s what was reported from Houston’s ABCLOCALGO.com:

The victim and suspect fell to the ground in a struggle when a good Samaritan helped free her. “It could have been so much worse than it was,” shopper Marie Dill said. Female shoppers say they are being more cautios while police are looking at surveillance video from the dozens cameras on top of the store. The victim got her purse back, but was left with cuts and bruises.

These type of robberies are usually premeditated so it is very important to move to your car quickly when leaving stores and watch for anything or anyone who looks suspicious.
