Beyonce won big at the 2009 Soul Train Awards. Bey, who lead all nominees along with Keri Hilson and Maxwell with four apiece, took home Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best R&B/Soul Female Artist.

Hilson took home Best Collaboration and Best New Artist while Maxwell won Best R&B/Soul Male. Sean Paul, Jamie Foxx and Mary Mary also won awards.

In addition to honoring today’s stars, the evening also served as nod to Soul legends. Michael Jackson was named Entertainer of the Year while his former label, Motown, was acknowleged for 50 years of excellence. Boyz II Men, Chico Debarge, Hal Linton, Estelle, Johnny Gill and Melanie Fiona were among the few to take the stage during the tribute to the legendary label.

Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson were also honored. Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Ledisi and Fantasia paid tribute to the former while Genuwine, Bootsy Collins, Raheem DeVaughn and K-Ci and Jo Jo paid tribute to the latter.

Trey Songz, Chrisette Michelle, Keri Hilson, Toni Braxton, Ryan Leslie and Robin Thicke also took the stage while Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson played host.
