If your burglar or fire alarm is not working properly, KSHO Alarm Service is the answer to your problems.  You could always change out the system at a very high cost or you can call us. In most cases we can repair or replace those old boards for a low charge. We have serviced a number of different types of panels. Our business is repair. This saves time and money. We provide a 30 day warranty period for all repairs we perform.

Service is essential for maintaining your system, and should be carried out each year. For example the re chargeable batteries in both the control box and the bell box do have a limited life. These should be changed every three years. They should also be checked every year to ensure the charge circuits are working and that the batteries are functioning correctly.

Batteries are fitted in both the control panel and bell box. These are rechargeable and both the battery condition and charge circuits should be checked annually. If not the alarm may not work in power cut conditions (just when a burglar may call). The batteries used are a special standby type which deteriorate over time. It is recommended that they be changed every three years.

Voltages and resistance measurements should be taken for each detector annually, this provides information to detect early deterioration of the system.

Walk testing the system ensures every detector is working correctly and that it has not been moved, or replaced incorrectly say during decorating or home improvements. It has been known for detectors to be painted or wall papered over rendering them useless.

Optional Mains testing can be carried out ensure your continued safety, when fitted the mains spur is installed to IEE regulations and earth loop impedances have to meet certain criteria. If for any reason this alters there could be a risk of electric shock. Annually checking this ensures your continued safety.

Advice on upgrading your system after building alterations, or advice on the latest security developments can be given by our engineers during these visits.
