44 years ago today one of the greatest heavyweight boxers the world has ever seen was born, Mike Tyson. At the age of 20 Tyson became the youngest heavyweight ever to hold the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles. While he had a fare share of drama outside of the ring, his accomplishments as a fighter made him a fixture in the world of entertainment.

So to tip our hats to one of the greatest ever we rounded up some of our favorite Tyson moments, references and tributes.

Mike Tyson managed to make us laugh and still knock a muffuga out in this hilarious scene from “The Hangover”

Tyson gave Canibus a pep talk in the intro to his LL Cool J diss record, “2nd Round KO” telling him to “eat, eat, eat MCs.”

Tyson was a favorite subject of MCs but he was immortalized next to the greatest “Mikes” ever on The Notorious B.I.G’s “Victory”

“Raw nights I perform like Mike, anyone:Tyson, Jordan, Jackson, action, pack guns/ridiculous”

Mike Tyson for President from The Chris Rock Show

One of the many Tyson parodies that Keenan Ivory Wayans pulled on “In Living Color.”

Before he was placed on the cover of “Fight Night Round 4” with Muhammed Ali, Tyson beat him to the punch and got his own branded “Punch Out” game in 1987.
