Conan O’Brien, who was earlier unceremoneously booted off of NBC , has found a new home. Conan, meet TBS.

Conan O’Brien was cast aside when NBC decided that two things were not working. First, the experiment of having Jay Leno host a 10PM show was not working. Second, Conan’s ratings on “The Tonight Show” were not stellar, either.

Thus, NBC decided it wanted to move Jay Leno back into an 11:30-ish time slot, and push O’Brien back a half hour. That was the initial premise, but in the end, that didn’t sit well with all, and eventually NBC bought Conan and his staff out of their contract, and Leno took over the “Tonight Show” reins again.

Interestingly, in order to fit in Conan, TBS will be pushing back the George Lopez show, “Lopez Tonight,” by an hour, to midnight. There is no enmity there, however. Lopez called O’Brien himself last week to ask him to join TBS.

Conan and TBS have reportedly come to a multi-year agreement. The second half of his show will face up against tough competition: Leno and Letterman, both.

Conan’s TBS show will begin airing in November.
