Former Oilers linebacker Daryl Hunt died of an apparent heart attack Friday night.
He was 53.
Hunt was the head of security at Grocers Supply Company.
He was a two-time All-America selection at Oklahoma and the Oilers’ sixth-round pick in 1979.
He played six years, including playoff appearances after the 1979 and 1980 seasons.
A native of Odessa, Hunt starred at Permian High School before signing with the Sooners and coach Barry Switzer.
Hunt is the Sooners’ career tackles leader with 530.
