Online celeb tattler TMZ reports that Devante Swing, a former heartthrob and member of the R&B group Jodeci, was arrested last weekend for drunken behavior at a Burbank, Calif., Subway restaurant.

Swing, whose real name is Donald DeGrate Jr. (pictured below at the forefront in his heyday), was a tad unruly at the popular eatery chain. Reportedly, he was haphazardly bumping into tables, repeatedly falling on the floor, knocking over chairs and just being a general nuisance. Patrons were annoyed by the singer’s display, and one of them alerted police to Swing’s drunken antics.

When police arrived on the scene, they arrested the 41-year-old and took him to a local jail to sober up. He was released hours later and not charged with a crime.

The ’90s-era group Jodeci was formed by Swing. The members consisted of two sets of brothers: Swing and his sibling, Dalvin DeGrate, and Cedric “K-Ci” and Joel “Jo-Jo” Hailey. Jodeci went on to achieve much success with an impressive number of chart toppers and platinum albums.

The group went on hiatus at the end of the nineties, but the Hailey brothers continued to perform under the name “K-Ci & Jo-Jo” and reaped success of their own. Jodeci reunited last year to record the ballad “Knockin Your Heels” with another ’90s R&B group, H-Town.

Swing, who has an eye for talent, managed to sign artists such as Missy Elliot, Timbaland and Ginuwine, to his record label. He plans to release his own album, ‘Swingin,’ in the not-too-distant future.
