According to reports, authorities in Harris County believe that there has been an organized crime ring of brothels that has been in operation for the past three years. Police say that two businesses one named The Golden Paradise and the other named Lily have been hubs of organized prostitution operations. After months of combing through records and paperwork investigators were able to positively determine the owner of Lily and The Golden Paradise as 47-year-old Paula Park. Robert Young Lee has reportedly been managing the businesses. Both Park and Lee are both charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution in the case.
Additional reports indicate that the two businesses were listed as modeling and dance studios. Back in 2009, police
conducted an undercover sting operation at Lilly and one worker was arrested at the scene. Lee reportedly ran out of the back of the business evading police officers. Court documents indicate that back in 2011 a source tipped police to Park and Lee’s alleged involvement with the brothels. Both Park and Lee were arrested on April 10, 2012.
