Chris Brown’s trial for his D.C. assault case has been delayed. According to Rumor Fix via NBC,

The singer’s trial has been pushed back for up to six months. Breezy will now be flown back to L.A. and he’ll be accompanied by U.S. Marshals and his attorney Mark Geragos.

However, despite Breezy’s trial being delayed, Chris isn’t off the hook. TMZ has reported,

The singer’s lawyer asked the judge in the Rihanna case to release him, but the request was denied. According to the site, Breezy will remain in an L.A. jail until June.

As previously reported, Chris’ bodyguard Christopher Hollosy — who was found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the same case, has chosen to not testify in fear of self-incrimination.

Reports have said that if Breezy is convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

The singer has been in jail since March.  MAN! #freebreezy
