This past Tuesday, was National Voter Registration Day, Majic 102.1 on the move was part of this massive effort to register voters before Election Day, November 4, 2014. This is a very important General and Special Election. Here in Texas we’ll be voting for a new governor and lieutenant governor. 2014 is also a midterm election year. The entire house of representatives are on the ballot.
The Texas League of Young Voters was a National Voter Registration Day partner and in conjunction with Majic 102.1 and our sister station 97.9 The Box, got together with a local wide city effort and register voters a various locations. I, Marco Spoon along with Connie B, broadcast live from the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Center, 4800 Calhoun Rd., where you can still register to vote between now and Thursday, and Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-2:00p.m. For more information, please visit texasyoungvoter.org.
