According to NBC News,

The top congressional Republicans came out Monday (December 12th) in support of carrying out investigations into Russian interference in last month’s presidential election, joining Democrats in backing having them after the CIA concluded that Moscow hacked election-related institutions, including the Democratic National Committee, in an effort to help Donald Trump win. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate Intelligence Committee will carry out a bipartisan inquiry, and there also will be a probe by the Senate Armed Services Committee. House Speaker Paul Ryan also released a statement in support of an investigation by the House Intelligence Committee. McConnell wouldn’t address, however, whether he believes the Russian interference was carried out to help Trump. The CIA had determined before the election that Moscow was behind the hacking, with the stolen information released through WikiLeaks, but only more recently concluded that it was to help Trump, instead of to just more generally sow chaos and distrust of the democratic process. But while Congress was planning investigations, Trump himself continued to dismiss the CIA’s conclusions, which he called “ridiculous” on Sunday, contending instead that Democrats were behind the reports because they’re upset they lost the election.
