A Los Angeles area woman charged in the brutal attack of a 92-year-old grandfather while he was out walking was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Thursday.
30-year-old Laquisha Jones was charged with felony elder abuse in December after she shattered Rodolfo Rodriguez‘ jaw with a brick and broke his ribs. Rodriguez said he did not resent his attacker and wished God’s forgiveness on her.
Jones had a prior conviction dating back years prior for making criminal threats. She was on probation when the attacked occurred. She pled guilty during her trial last year and opted for a plea deal. She reportedly told Rodriguez, “Go back to your country” while beating him.
