Mr Cause I’m Happy Pharrell Williams is a knight in France after being presented with the highest honor in the country. According to The Straits Times, the artist and fashion designer was one of 589 people who were named knights of the Legion of Honour.

According to Merriam-Webster’s, Legion of Honours is described as “A French order conferred as a reward for civil or military merit.” Williams was recognized for his public and cultural service to the French nation as he has made contributions to the fashion and entertainment industries since being named Louis Vuitton’s [[ loo-wee vwee-tahn’s ]] Men’s Creative Director in 2023.

Williams received the honor for his trailblazing his work in fashion, particularly his role as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director, and for his broader cultural influence. The award was announced as part of the Bastille Day celebrations.

Pharrell’s latest accomplishment couldn’t have come at a better time. He was knighted just days after Clipse’s new album Let God Sort Em Out finally arrived on streaming services. Skateboard P executive-produced the entire project and appeared on several songs like “All Things Considered” and “So Far Ahead.”
