The exotic dancer known as “Pocahontas” but named Luerissie Ashley Ross appeared in court Wednesday. Twenty-year-old Ross is accused of setting up a man to be robbed and shot at a north Houston apartment complex.

According to Houston police, Ross lured Budrohoe Briscoe to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of West Tidwell on Feb. 17 after he arrived with his cousin. The two men got out of a car and then Briscoe was robbed and shot. Briscoe was taken to a hospital and died a few days later from his wounds.

A relative of Briscoe’s told them that “Pocahontas” worked as a dancer at the Ice Cream Castles strip club, and also provided photographs of Ross to them. Investigators found that she was linked to another incident at the same complex on Jan. 20 that was similar. Court documents indicate that Ross confessed to setting up Briscoe and arranging for him to be shot. Ross is being held without bond.
