A Houston woman talking to her husband on the phone heard yelling and gun shots just before he was found dead on a northeast Houston sidewalk early Friday morning.
Reports indicate that the shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Tidwell Road at Parkway Forest Drive as the victim reportedly walked home from a nearby store.
The Houston Police Department states that the man’s wife was talking to him via cell phone when she heard loud screams as well as gunshots. The husband’s cell phone then reportedly went dead.
It is believed that the man was the victim of a random robbery before he was fatally shot.
The victim’s identity was not released at the time of this report.
