HISD Bus Driver Accused of Hitting Boy, 5, in the Head
A Houston school district bus driver is accused of intentionally hurting a child on her bus.
Martha Dobbings, 65, is accused of hitting a 5-year-old boy in the head, twice, for writing on something with a red marker. The incident happened as the bus was in route to cashmere gardens elementary school in northwest Houston on April 2.
The boy’s father says his son is a special needs student who may not have fully understand what was happening.
Dobbings denies hitting the boy. She has been suspended without pay pending the results of the investigation.
