ARIAN-FOSTER-stars-in-DRAFT-DAY

Houston Texans All-Star running back Arian Foster makes his film debut in the new film “Draft Day” also starring Kevin Costner and Terry Crews. Foster plays NFL draft prospect, Ray Jennings who hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and play for the Cleveland Browns. His father, Earl Jennings is played by Terry Crews. Kevin Costner plays Sonny Weaver, the GM of the Browns hoping to end the team’s 13 year losing streak by acquiring the #1 draft pick. His quest causes him to risk his personal and profession relationships.

Foster, a current NFL player and Crews, a former NFL player, both drew from their own draft experiences to prepare for these roles. Foster was a top running back, expected to go in the 5th or 6th round of the 2009 NFL draft, but went undrafted. Subsequently signed by the Texans, Foster has become an NFL sensation and the top running back in the league. Crews on the other hand, was drafted in the 11th round by the Los Angeles Rams in 1991.

The movie also stars Jennifer Garner and Denis Leary and opens April 11th.
