(HOUSTON) — As this school year hits the home stretch, Children at Risk made a big announcement Monday.

With support from Education Resource Group, Children at Risk researched and ranked public schools from the eight counties in the Greater Houston area.

The nonprofits analyzed more than 1,335 local schools. That breaks down to 157 high schools, 363 middle schools and 815 elementary schools in the Houston area.
