John Legend’s collaboration with Common on the song “Glory,” is up for best original song at the upcoming Academy Awards. He shared that he’s a little disappointed the film, Selma, was nominated in the best actor or director category.
He told Billboard.com,
“I was a little surprised and disappointed . . . It’s not that anybody else didn’t deserve it, because I haven’t seen all the other films, I just know it’s one of the best films I’ve seen in years. So for it not to be nominated in some of those other categories was a bit disappointing for me.”
John Legend has been tapped to perform at the Grammy Awards on February 8th but he wouldn’t confirm if he and Common were asked to perform at the Oscars.
