Hulu subscribers watch out! The Wall Street Journal is reporting that,

Time Warner is in serious talks to buy a 25 percent stake in Hulu, with the ultimate goal of trying to reduce the number of people who are dropping cable TV in favor of online streaming. Unlike Netflix and Amazon, Hulu streams episodes from current seasons of TV shows, sometimes as soon as the day after they air on TV, and Time Warner believes that contributes to people getting rid of cable. According to the Journal, Time Warner, which owns networks including TBS and TNT, wants current seasons of its shows off Hulu, but won’t make it a condition for buying 25 percent of the company. However, its reported long-term goal is to make streaming tied to pay-TV subscriptions.

I knew it was just a matter of time before this was going to happen.
