Cedric The Entertainer stars in Barbershop: The Next Cut, the third installment of the critically acclaimed Barbershop series. He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the one requirement he had before returning to the popular franchise and his favorite memory of the musical icon Prince.
“It’s a very mart movie as much as it makes you laugh. We wanted to do a Barbershop that made sense. Bringing Eve back and add JB Smoove, Deon Cole and Lamorne Morris…it’s a funny movie. It’s current.”
On the news of Prince’s death:
“I met Prince on several occasions. He’s a big fan of comedy. He had a great sense of humor. He was an amazing brother. He was really cool. Up close he was just a gracious dude.”
