Houston Dynamo midfielder Colin Clark has been suspended for three games by Major League Soccer for allegedly making a slur to the opposing team’s ball boy. The suspension was handed down to Clark on Wednesday. In addition to the three game suspension, Clark will be fined for directing that slur to the ball boy during a Houston Dynamo game last Friay. Clark reportedly made the slur during Houston’s 2-0 loss at Seattle last week. Clark must attend mandated diversity and sensitivity training. The mandate was made by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

In a statement made to media outlets, Garber said that Clark’s actions are not tolerable in the soccer league: “Major League Soccer will not tolerate this type of behavior from its players or staff at any time, under any circumstances,” Garber said. “I believe that he will learn from this incident.”
