Houston’s mayor Annise Parker is expected to reveal her budget for the city of Houston Tuesday. Mayor Parker is scheduled to reveal the budget at approximately 10:30 a.m. Due to budget woes last year, the city of Houston eliminated 700 jobs.
Mayor Parker, who delivered her State of the city address last month, also visited Brazil earlier this year to strengthen ties with the county, study the city’s transit operations and speak with officials to obtain ideas on city infrastructure.
Last month’s address promised no layoffs or furloughs.
