A man from Houston has been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety most-wanted sex-offender list. According to reports, Mark Anthony Gasaway Jr. who is 26-years-old, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.
Gasaway was sentenced to ten years of probation in 2002 for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in League City. He failed to register and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office has been looking for him since December of 2010.
Gasaway, who is from Houston, also has relatives in Galveston. He sometimes uses the name “J.R. Gasaway.” He is described as an African-American male who stands approximately He’s 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 154 pounds. He also has tattoos on his right and left arms and scars on his right knee, left leg, right forearm and left arm. He also has a discolored abdomen.
Anyone with information on Gasaway or with information as to the whereabouts of any of the other most-wanted offenders is asked to call Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-800 252-8477. Tipsters can also text via text message; text “DPS” plus your info to 274637. Tipsters can receive a $2,000 reward for information leading to Gasaway’s arrest. All tipsters will remain anonymous.
