A woman is accused of hitting a police officer with a car she stole at a gas station early Sunday morning. The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
A woman allegedly jumped into the back seat of another person’s car at a convenience store on the corner of Strawberry and Southmore in Pasadena. The driver of the vehicle who was in the car at the time was displaced by the female suspect.
As a police officer approached the car, the woman put the car into gear and reportedly dragged the officer through the lot. He suffered only minor injuries.
The suspect then reportedly took off and crashed into another vehicle, overturning her own car at Allen Genoa and Gober. She was rushed to Bayshore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There were no reports of specific charges filed against the woman nor the release of her identity at the time of this report.
