A woman surrendered to police after the heat was turned up by Crime Stoppers in Houston.

On July 28, two women hit both French Cuff Boutiques in West University within hours of each other. They made off with $12,000 of high-end merchandise.

What they didn’t know is both stores had a sophisticated surveillance system. Once the incredibly clear images were released, tips immediately started pouring in to Crime Stoppers.

Linda Wallace Dewitt, 58, turned herself in to police Thursday. She has an outstanding felony warrant for theft in Harris County. Her criminal history includes approximately eight previous arrests or convictions for theft. Police do have the name of her alleged accomplice. The search continues for that suspect. If you have information, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
