A domestic dispute lead to the arrest of a local pastor and founder of a church.

The Galveston County Daily News reports that Robert Kenneth Gass — known to many as Pastor Bobby Gass — was taken into custody after an incident Wednesday morning in which he allegedly pushed his girlfriend from his stopped SUV after an argument.

Witnesses reportedly heard her cries for help and police were called.  Gass, of Tiki Island, was found at Baypoint Community Church, which he founded, at 2801 Palmer Highway. After his arrest on a misdemeanor assault charge, police searched his wallet and found a folded dollar bill with a small amount of cocaine.

The 60-year-old was charged with cocaine possession and assault causing bodily injury.
