Former President George H.W. Bush, who was expected to be released over the weekend from Methodist Hospital, remains hospitalized with a persistent cough.

The 88-year-old Bush was admitted to the hospital for bronchitis on November 7th and has been in and out of the hospital since then.

He went home November 19th, but was back in the hospital the day after Thanksgiving.

His doctors say Bush was hospitalized as a precautionary measure and that his condition was never considered life-threatening.
