A man is charged with repeatedly raping his handicapped stepdaughter and getting her pregnant. News 92 FM’s Suzanne Badger has the story:
Police say 53-year-old Maung Aye sexually assaulted his 22-year-old stepdaughter in their Houston home four times.
The stepdaughter is a handicapped Burmese refugee and has only been in the United States for two years. She was living in the family home with her mother, her stepfather and six siblings when she says her stepfather pulled her out of her wheelchair and raped her while the mother wasn’t home.
The woman was afraid to tell anyone because she says her stepfather is abusive. However, court records state that the secret came out when 22-year-old became ill and discovered she was pregnant. That very night she went into labor and gave birth to a baby boy.
Maung Aye is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person. Aye was booked into Harris County Jail on December 1. His bail is set at $30,000.
