According to Pulse of Radio,

Oscar winners Forest Whitaker and Jennifer Hudsonlead the all star cast of the new film adaptation of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity which hits theaters on November 27th. The film was directed by Kasi Lemmons and also features Angela Bassett, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Tyrese Gibson.

The film centers around Jennifer Hudson’s character, a single mother living in Baltimore who sends her son to visit her estranged parents, Whitaker and Bassett for Christmas in New York. Unfortunately while her son is away she gets evicted.
