(HOUSTON, TX)– Ben Hall is calling the mayor a liar. He says he’s setting the record straight about his battles with the IRS.

In her TV and radio ads Parker has made much of Hall’s late tax payments and now her opponent is calling her a liar. So we asked the mayor if her radio and TV commercials are a lie.
“The think about my ads is everyone of them is fact checked and everyone of them references an independent news source.”
Parker also call being called a liar “name calling and school yard stuff.” Hall’s spokesperson says he’s paid all his taxes but won’t be bullied into paying more than his fair share. Hall’s latest ad wills say he sued the IRS for 9 million dollars and won and he notes that Mayor Parker did not put that fact in her commercials.
Wednesday the Hall campaign released a letter from former mayor Bob Lanier saying that Hall:
“Did a good job representing Houston as City Attorney.”
Lanier goes on to say that he’s “not aware of any credible suggestion that Hall was involved in a pay-to-play scheme while he was city attorney,” as has been claimed by the Parker campaign.
