According to Fox News,

How much time do you spend staring at computer screens and cell phone screens each day? The American Academy of Pediactrics is now recommending that parents limit how much time their kids spend texting, and on the computer. The group also recommends keeping smartphones and laptops out of bedrooms. The lead author of the new policy, Dr. Victor Strasburger says many parents are clueless that screen time has been linked with violence, cyberbullying, school issues, obesity, sleep loss and other problems. The experts say the teens should be limited to just two hours of screen time each day. Strasberg says he realizes many kids will scoff at this advice, but says he hopes it will lead to more limits from parents and schools as well as more government research on the effects of media.
