Here’s an interesting story on sleep from the Daily Mail,

Next time you pull an all-nighter, know that going without sleep damages your brain in a similar way to being hit on the head. To find this, Swedish researchers tested brain chemicals and found that healthy young men deprived of just one night of sleep experienced a spike in the same brain chemicals that are present after a brain injury. Researchers say this happens because when we sleep the brain cleans itself of toxic substances, and without sleep those toxins build up. Researchers noted that lack of sleep has been linked with increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis, and that these study results could add to the evidence.

Personally, I love sleep!  It’s my favorite pass time.  I need my rest, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I need it! LOL
