Actress/comedienne Kym Whitley spent many years as a single woman before an amazing set of circumstances brought a man into her life. In Whitley’s case, that man is 3-year-old Joshua, who is the subject of her OWN reality show Raising Joshua. Now that Whitley has become a mother, other things in her life have also changed, as we saw in Season 1.
On Season 2, we get to see more of Whitley’s relationship with the village she’s created around Joshua including her special friend, Rodney. Now that Rodney has moved in, how does that change their ‘friends with benefits’ status? Tune in on Saturday at 9 p.m. on OWN. Whitley talked to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the new season and just how much of her you can expect to see. Read on.
TJMS: How is Joshua?
KYM WHITLEY: I know you’re not supposed to say nothing bad about a baby. I know you can’t punch them or nothing. But he woke up at 2 a.m. talking about hungry, eat, mommy you fix. So I’m struggling right now. I’m struggling.
TJMS: How was Joshua’s Christmas?
Christmas was great because you know he got all those villagers and they all got him the same thing: a bike. So he got seventeen bikes. I’m like don’t nobody communicate in the village? I’m like could nobody get him a book? Nobody educated in this whole village?
TJMS: What can we expect for the new season?
