HOUSTON – High winds are creating a challenge for firefighters battling a fast-moving fire at an upscale apartment complex in southwest Houston.

The flames broke out around 11 a.m. at the Remington Park Apartments located in the 5500 block of South Rice near Glenmont.

Air 11 video showed flames burning through the roof of several units as residents stood by.

Thick smoke could be seen from miles away.

No injuries have been reported.
