(HOUSTON, TX)– Quanell X leads a protest to the home of the Houston School District superintendent.

In response to the proposal to close down 5 inner city schools, including Jones High School, community activist Quanell X lead a march just outside the home of Terry Grier.

He accuses the superintendent of neglecting schools like Jones and favoring others. Houston I.S.D. is considering shutting down the school because of low enrollment and a changing demographic but Quanell X does not agree.

He is demanding Houston I.S.D. fire Grier and for the district to invest money back into Jones to make it a viable school, once more.
