It has been said that during actor’s acceptance speeches at annual Academy Award shows, Meryl Streep gets thanked more than God. Not so this year as Matthew McConaughey’s accepted his award for Best Actor in The Dallas Buyer’s Club, he began his speech mentioning what is most important to him, “God, family and self”. He spent a considerable amount of time talking sincerely about God, which impressed some and made others uncomfortable. McConaughey is only the 4th actor in 12 years to do so. Read more…
