Sunday, officers responded to a disturbance at a local reception hall. Officers were advised there were several unwanted guests refusing to leave the hall for a kids birthday party. A large disturbance began between the guests after officers told the reportee that he could not make the guests of the feuding family leave.

Police decided to shut down the party since kids were present and the disturbance could jeopardize the safety of the kids and other guests.

While in the parking lot a guest began to curse at police and created a disturbance in the presence of several children. An officer warned the female guest and told her to leave but she kept cursing and refused to leave. The female was in a vehicle and was told several times to drive away but she still refused. The officer attempted to open the female’s car door and she nearly slammed the officer’s hand in between the door and the frame as she closed the door. The officer was then assisted by other officers in an attempt to execute an arrest.

The officer feared for his safety as well as other officers and the safety of the crowd if she was to drive off, so he had no other choice but to use a less than lethal weapon to initiate an arrest. The officer used his Taser on the female with no affect. As the female was taken out of her vehicle, she became combative and would not follow officers’ commands. The female had to be contact tased several other times in order for officers to gain control of her and to effectively make and arrest. The female identified as (32) year old Jodi White of Houston was charged with Disorderly Conduct-Abusive Language, a class “C” misdemeanor.

While police were trying to control Jodi her husband (37) Christopher White also from Houston attempted to defend his wife and he pushed officers making his way towards his wife. Christopher was warned several times to back way and he ignored officers, an officer tried to control Christopher but he kept overpowering the officer giving the officer no other choice but to tase Christopher which had an effective result and police were able to place him custody without further incident.

Christopher was charged with class “C” Disorderly Conduct Abuse or Threaten Offensive Manner.
