Our beloved Billy Dee Williams, who is now the ripe old age of 76, is known for his memorable roles in Star Wars, Lady Sings The Blues, Jackson’s: An American Dream among many others. However, his Star Wars themed debut on Dancing with the Stars, Season 18, has landed him in the bottom and possibly amongst some of the worst dancers in the history of the show.  Amongst the top 10 worst contestants in the history of DWTS are Master P, Michael Bolton, Evander Holyfield, Jerry Springer, and D.L. Hughley. Taking nothing away from his impressive body of work in film and television over the last 60 years, the judges were very critical, while respectful in judging his performance. Well, except for Bruno Tonioli who said that Billy Dee “got the wrong character and played it a little C3POish! I want Darth Vader!” Uhm…Sir Bruno, Billy Dee played the character Lando Calrrisian in the Star Wars movies. He got it right.  Billy Dee took the low scores from the judges (15 out of 30) in stride and thanked the audience. After 2 hip surgeries and at age 76, it may just be the audience and the fans who will keep Billy Dee around another week.
