(HOUSTON) — Sources within the Houston Fire Department tell News 92 FM there were more brownouts Saturday.
One of the two fire engines taken out of service is Engine 6, which was first to respond to the 5-alarm fire in the Montrose area this past Tuesday. It was also on the scene of Wednesday’s church fire in The Heights.

The other unit out of service is out of Fire Station 45, located at 4910 N. McCarty. You may recall that Engine 45 was first in on a deadly mid-rise fire on the North Loop near Wallisville Road in March 2007. Its crew and others were instrumental in the rescue of several people from the burning six-story structure.
Three people died in that fire. Several others, including three firefighters, were injured.
