2014 Tony Awards - Arrivals

The 68th annual Tony Awards got off to a hoppin’ start with Hugh Jackman on Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall.

The evening’s host entered New York’s Radio City Hall hopping his way from the streets of New York, through the aisles and then backstage where he proceeded to meet the cast members of many of today’s biggest Broadway shows.

Audra McDonald who made Tony history on Sunday. She won best lead actress in a play for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in “Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill,” making her sixth-ever Tony and making her the biggest Tony winner of all time. She now tops five-time Tony winners five-time winners Angela Lansbury and the late Julie Harris.

The 26 winners were chosen by about 870 voters who are part of the the Actors’ Equity Association, the Dramatists Guild and the Stage Directors and other organizations.
