(HOUSTON) — A man was shot while sitting in a car overnight in southeast Houston.
It happened around 11:20 p.m. Thursday on Hickok at Segrest in the South Acres area.

According to Houston police, the victim was sitting in a parked car with one or two others when some sort of argument broke out and the man was shot once in the upper chest.
The suspects fled the scene.
A neighbor heard the gunshot, went outside and found the man lying next to the car. He called 911, and the victim was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
